I kept meaning to sit down and write last week, but it just never happened. Here is the quick version of the last two weeks....
Santa~
We took Emma to Bass Pro Shop to see Santa Claus the Friday before Thanksgiving. Emma was super excited to see Santa and talked about it all day before we went, but when it was finally her turn, she froze! She finally agreed to talk to him and tell him that she wanted "presents" for Christmas, but she wouldn't sit in his lap. Our free picture is of me standing next to Santa holding Emma. Oh Well! She was still excited about having seen him when we left the store, so we'll just try again next year.
Thanksgiving Weekend~
We had a good, relaxing Thanksgiving. We all went over to Dave's parents house and had a great day with lots of really good food. We got our Christmas Tree put up on the day after Thanksgiving - that was a little bit of an adventure - Dave and Emma put most of the ornaments on the tree while I was at the doctor. I came home to the news that we had "too many" ornaments for the tree and a tree that had nothing on the back 1/3. So, I "fixed" the tree and we all agreed that from now on, ornaments go on as a family :) On Saturday morning, Dave and I splurged and got a babysitter so we could use some of our AMC theater gift certificates to see Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part 1. We were pleasantly surprised with and really enjoyed the movie. I did a little Christmas shopping over the weekend and I think I am nearly done! I've been wrapping as things have been bought, so we put everything under the tree on Sunday. Now, I just need to dismantle my wrapping station so I can clean the baby's room!
Baby~
Peanut and I continue to go to the doctor twice a week for out non stress tests and they continue to go well. We had a 35 week ultrasound today and Peanut's weight estimate is 6 lb 7 oz, so they are guessing he will be between 8.5 and 9 pounds if we go all the way to full term. The doctor took a few 3D pictures and it was really neat to see the little guy!

Emma's Big Weekend
Granted Emma is only 2, so almost any weekend could be considered a "big weekend" for her because there is some kind of "adventure," but this past weekend really was BIG. For starters, the "Binky Fairy" came to our house Friday night. We'd been telling Emma this was going to happen, so it wasn't a surprise. Emma willingly left one of her pacifiers out for the Binky Fairy and took the other to bed with her Friday night. When she got up Saturday morning, both pacifiers were gone and in there place were 2 presents (Rudolph the Red Nose Reindeer on DVD and an Apron/pot holder set). She is slowly adjusting to life without the "binky" and is doing pretty well. She went down for today's nap pretty easily.
Sunday was another big adventure - Emma got to go see her first movie in a theater. Dave had 8 free tickets to Hollywood Blvd for his birthday, so we went to see Mega Mind with Dave's parents, his sister, and her family. We didn't realize the movie was in 3D, so that added tot he adventure a little bit. Emma didn't like the glasses, but she did a pretty good job watching the movie. I think that fact that Hollywood Blvd serves drinks and food at your seat during the movie helped lessen the distraction of a 2 year old who doesn't really like to sit still. The next time a kid friendly movie comes out, we'll try again and see how Emma does.

Halloween, Birthday, and NSTs
Updates and more updates.....
Emma had a great Halloween. She dressed up as a Puppy Dog and had a ton of fun going to a few of the neighbor houses to trick or treat. She REALLY wanted to ring the door bells herself, but had a hard time reaching, so as she approached each door Emma would put down her trick or treat bucket, climb up on the stoop, ring the bell, then jump back to grab her bucket. Emma did a great job of telling everyone "Happy Halloween" or "Trick or Treat" and she did a really good job of saying "Thank you." We also made a trip to Julie's house so that Emma could see her cousin's dressed up too and take a few pictures. I really think Emma's favorite part of the day was handing candy out to the other trick or treaters coming to our house. She planted herself at our screen door and watched and watched for people coming to the door.
We also celebrated Dave's birthday in the past week. We had a little party for him Saturday night starting with dinner at Rock Bottom followed by cake and ice cream at our house. He got lots of fun goodies - Emma's favorite was the horse hair shop brush!
Baby Breese and I have reached 32 weeks and have had to start going to the doctor twice a week for Non Stress Tests. We've had two so far and both tests have gone well. For one of our tests, Emma got to spend a really fun day with Grandma and PawPaw Breese - including a fun lunch at All Aboard with Grandma's friend, Janet, and her granddaughter. We are very lucky to have such a good support system!
