I realized after I made my last entry that I left out the funniest part of Emma's check up. During the physical exam, Emma was sitting in my lap and the doctor was looking in her mouth and Emma says "I no want," basically telling the doctor to get the tongue depressor out of her mouth.
Tuesday was our weekly Tot Rock class. Emma seems to be enjoying it and is learning a lot, even how to put toys away after playing with them. The kids in class have to take the toys used back to the teacher several times and that has translated into Emma helping clean up at home. We have to be pretty specific about what we want her to do, but she does help out. In this weeks class, a little boy actually tried to flirt with Emma by trying to hold her hand... It was pretty cute.
We had a little bit of a scare on Tuesday night... Emma was playing and we noticed that the light in our family room was moving. As we started to correct Emma by telling her not to play with the lamp, it started to tilt and eventually crashed to the ground. Thankfully, Emma was behind where the lamp fell so she wasn't hurt. Unfortunately, the globe of the lamp crashed into a million pieces and we had to go get another lamp. I really think our family room lamp situation is cursed. Dave had the first lamp we used for years before it finally died and now we are on our second lamp in 6 weeks and neither of the newer lamps works as well for the room as the first one.
