SNOW and MSI

Last week was busy (they all are lately), but also pretty quiet... at least until the weekend.
Friday night we went to Dave's work holiday party. Kids were welcome and Emma made a new friend named Michael (he's about 1 year older). They had fun coloring and watching a movie. It was great that kids were welcome, but I almost wish we'd gotten a baby sitter. It's really hard to relax and enjoy yourself while also keeping an eye on a 2 year old!
Saturday morning we woke up to a world covered in white because it had snowed all night! Dave had to clear the driveway and so that Market Day could be picked up. Emma got bundled up and enjoyed playing in the snow. She also really liked helping her Daddy clear off the patio and making the beginnings of her first snow man. Unfortunately, she got cold and/or bored during the snowman process, so Dave had to finish the snowman by himself.
Sunday saw the empty Christmas decoration containers go back into the crawl space and the cradle come out... we are getting closer and closer to being ready for our little guy to get here.
Monday was our "special day." Dave took a vacation day and I had an EARLY doctor's appointment for one of my 2 NSTs this week. After finishing at the doctor (a too active baby meant I was there for a while) I got home and we went right back out the door to the Museum of Science and Industry. We learned the hard way that it doesn't pay to pay to see the "extra" exhibits... mainly because we didn't even get to see one of them because Emma wasn't interested. She did love seeing all of the Christmas trees from around the world and the trains. It was a "free" day and I think overall she enjoyed it...
Our big plan for today is to get Emma registered for Preschool... Classes that start in September 2011!
