Emma turned 13 months old Sunday and it just slipped by. Now that the first year frame is full, we almost missed her little milestone. Emma is definitely starting to look and act more like a little girl instead of a baby; Her style of play is changing and her hand eye coordination is getting better. The ring stacker is now a fun toy. Emma gets the first ring put on there and likes the reaction she gets so much that she takes it off and puts it right back on.
Emma is also walking more and more. I took her outside yesterday afternoon to show her the pretty spring flowers and she walked in the yard holding my hand. When we got back to the driveway, she let go ahead of my hand and took a few steps before falling to one knee. Last night we took a trip to Anderson's bookstore and Emma had the best time walking from stuffed "Doggy" to stuffed "Doggy" saying hello, petting, and even hugging on them.
My training for the Avon Walk for Breast Cancer continues. To date, I have walked 126 miles to get ready for the walk. The five and six mile walks I do during the week are getting easier and easier and I am up to 10 miles on my long weekend walks.
