Life as a stay at home parents is never dull and rarely goes as planned... Today is a perfect example...
5:15 AM - Get fussy Emma out of crib and bring her into bed with us. Get kicked, elbowed, etc for my trouble.
5:45 AM - Break down and turn on the Disney Channel
6:40 AM - My turn to get a shower and dressed while Dave gets Emma breakfast.
7:30 AM - Making my own breakfast, Check e-mail, do some DAR volunteer work
8:30 AM - Negotiate with an unhappy Emma about the best place to color. The kitchen table just will NOT do... today
8:35 AM - 9:15 AM - Relative peace and quiet. Emma colors and plays while I unload/load the dishwasher
9:15 - 10:00 AM - Clean up the first accident of the day, get Emma dressed, put laundry away, play "sleep" with Emma, start to clean the bathroom, and experience an Emma meltdown while trying to figure out exactly what she wants.
10:00 AM - Figured out that Emma wanted to "cook" and off we go to play... Evidently, I am required for all games today, so my productive plans have gone out the window.
I just wonder what the rest of the day will bring....
