It's has been pretty quiet around here the last week or so...
Emma continues to do something new almost daily... Dave and I think they are all cute, of course, but everyone else would probably be bored to tears if I listed them all! One pretty neat thing that I will share is that Emma got to sit in a fire engine (they aren't trucks, they are engines) for the first time. One of our neighbors in a fire fighter for the village and they had a small party last night and included the guys on duty at the firehouse for dinner. That meant that a fire engine and ambulance were in the neighborhood for a little while last night. Greg, our neighbor, was very generous and let Emma sit in the drivers seat for a picture. Thanks Greg!
I am continuing to train for the Avon Walk for Breast Cancer. After a little bit of a training set back last weekend, I walked 12.75 miles yesterday. That's my longest walk to date and I am a little stiff today, but feel pretty good. My total training mileage is now up over 150 miles.
I am also continuing my fund raising efforts. Friday was the first day of my raffle to raise money. I have 4 prizes and every donation over $15 received in the month of May gets an entry. I received several checks on Friday and Saturday, so my total is now at $1170 out of $1800 with roughly a month to go.
I'd like to say a special thank you to Dr. Fred McGuire (our fabulous dentist) for helping in the fund raising efforts.
