Emma's Big Bad Day

Yesterday after Emma and I went to the grocery store and got everything put away, we took her Fropper ride along toy outside to play. I wasn't sure it was a good idea, but I let her and we regretted it. The Fropper just isn't an outside toy and one of the front wheels got caught on a bump on the side walk. The Fropper tipped forward and Emma went over the handle bars; Thankfully, she didn't get hurt too badly. The fall scared both of us and she does have a scrape on her little nose, lip, and chin. There was no blood, so hopefully she'll be all better soon.
Later in the afternoon, we went to Yorktown Mall to have a mini "Girls outing" since Dave was at at Bears game for "Guys night." We took a walk around the mall and did the few things we needed to do at the mall before heading over to play. We were very disappointed in the play area because it just wasn't set up for younger children. The tree house and slide were really neat looking, but much too big for Emma. She did find a little play house for kids her age, but it was occupied by a VERY possessive little boy who decided he didn't want to share, so he pushed Emma hard enough that she fell down. It wasn't long after that when we left and headed for the food court and dinner. After dinner and more walking, we headed home.
Emma did have a few good parts to her day. She added a few words to her vocabulary: Grocery store and book, and she used the potty again like a big girl.
