Potty Training?

We've pretty much gotten back into the swing of things post vacation and things have been pretty quiet. Last weekend we took a few things over to Julie's house for a garage sale. There wasn't a whole lot of traffic, but Dave and I did sell enough to pay for most of his workbench. The funny thing was, we actually came home with more than we took over...
Julie had some of her kids old things in the garage sale and we ended up getting some things for Emma. Thomas puzzles, a Thomas movie, several books, and a bear that plays peek-a-boo. Emma loves Thomas and even though she's too young for the puzzles now, the are definitely worth holding onto for her.
The exciting part of the weekend came on Sunday. I had come in from mowing the grass and was downstairs cooling off when Emma decided to come down too. She kept going to the hall bathroom and saying "bath" and since I thought she was just practicing her words, I kept telling her that yes it was the bathroom. Then she started doing a little dance outside the bathroom... squatting like a frog, the standing up, and then squatting again. I called Dave down to see her funny little dance and he had the idea to ask if she need to use the bathroom. Her response was to clap her hands and walk into the bathroom. So, we held her up there and she went #2 in the potty!! We were very proud of our big girl!
Sunday afternoon, Emma and I went to Target and got her a padded potty seat. She gets up there at least once a day and has gone #2 on there one time since Sunday. We aren't going to push potty training just yet, but we are going to keep an eye on Emma to encourage her if we catch her going. We have also gotten her the easy up trainers (the next stage from diapers) and a potty training book. We still need to get her a potty seat of her very own, but that will probably be our next trip to Target.
